CJ7 carb issues?

I have an Autoline Carb on CJ7 1985, running rich and backfiring. Any help?

Wow. Never even heard of that make of carb. Was that what the Jeep came to you with?

Has it always run rich, or is this a new development?
Is it backfiring more noticeable at the carb, or out the exhaust?
