I have been told the class 3 hitch I got will put way to much stress on my lift kit due to the weight of it.. Any idea if this is true?

That makes no sense to me. Why would it put extra stress on your lift? It just weight. If you had a subpar lift then you have other issues but a hitch wouldn't make any more difference than putting a bunch of stuff in the back of the Jeep. I used to haul all of my carpentry tools in mine and only result was added wear to the bearings.

That's what I was thinking but my bud, he pulled trucks and has talked down on my jeep since I got it. Think he Is just jealous of him :) my jeep was lifted when I got it and he told me to take the lift off from day one. Guess that's what happens when your friends with a hardcore chevy guy. Haha

Don't listen to that guy. He doesn't know what he's talking about hence he doesn't have a Jeep.

True that lol. I mean, I can't say I know much. I have only done a few things to mine since I got it. And I have absolutely no mechanical skills at all. I was never taught and worked a lot when younger so now at 19, I have little knowledge of anything mechanical. Lol. But I do love my jeep, saved it from a HORRIBLE home. Put a down payment on it, came back to get it the next day because I had to get to work. Drove it home quick then realized he had taken it offroad and hit something big. Crushed bell housing. That was the first $600 fix I have had for a car. But now, $2000 into my jeep , and another $1000 when I get my income tax and I LOVE my jeep almost as much as my wife and son ;-) lol

I didn't know Jack when I got mine either. Now 7 years later I have a solid understanding as I have replaced everything from the frame down and lots above. I KNOW my Jeep.
