clunking from front

I had this clicking/ clunking from the front while driving the jeep over bumpy roads.
I installed BPE's and new poly bushings, but the clunk/clank is still there. any ideas? It's driving me nuts and I can feel it thru the floor.

RE: Somethings wrong but I don

up next on my list of repairs for my jeep is replacing the a bolt on my control arm that has siezed up - about 1/4" too loose. She isn't going anywhere but if i'm off the asphalt i get a helluva racket up there! you just gotta try grabbing things with both hands and use some muscle to see if you can make anything move.

course of action-engine advice needed

I have the same noises/clunking too. Driving me nuts. I replaced all four shocks and still there. I too, can feel it through the floor. I grabbed everything I could undernieth and checked for anything loose and found nothing. STUMPED!!! Hey Icy Fridge, if you figure anything out please post again on here...

I also will be starting a 249/242 swap this weekend on my 95 Grand, I will post more about that on the post that Snitty has started. I gave him a hand on the other one and mine will be next...

RE: Re: RE: crank position sensor

I'm looking to find what this might be too; mine sounds like I'm dragging a shopping cart under it whenever I hit a bump... But... NOTHING IS LOOSE!!!

Arrrrrgh, these Jeeps and their mystery noises...

transmission mount, make sure the rubber isnt dry rotted and cracked, and if its a zj or wj, check your cv joints. also check the engine mounts, they wear out like the transmission mounts and start to dry rot and crack, at least i know yjs and tjs are notorious for it

RE: Update Sept 16th 2005

Check where the crossover pipe goes over the cross member. Don´t just shake it up an down, shake it sideways also.

Trackbar bushing (common problem)? Noisy swaybar disconnects (mine are annoyingly loud)? Broken motor mount?

I'll tell ya, these coil sprung/control arm setups are a pain in the neck. Seems like every 2 months I have a bad bushing or something. I miss having leaf springs all the way around.
