I have a in-line 6 jeep yj 1989. i have got a price of 2200 to do a full engine rebuild and i'm trying to find out if that's a good price or not. that is everything parts and man hours. i cant do it cuz i do not know anything about that kind of thing. so just give me your thoughts about the price. thanks to all who help out.

First, your jeep has a straight 6, not a V6
price is not all that bad if it is soup to nuts. If you did it yourself machine shop would run your about $500. Rings, pistons, bearings $200-300 rebuild head $500 and at about $90 per hour for labor, price is about right.
Personally, I would either do it my self or search for a low miles newer 4.0 and swap that in.
