I had neighbors like that in Parkville. I understand a Christian celebrating a Jewish holiday, as it is part of the story. A Jew celebrating Chistmas? Well that's just not...

Kosher

I think if both were truly 100% commited they could not reconcile the two views. Only if they were Christain and Jew in name only could they both do that. I'm not knocking anyone or saying anything bad, it's just Twisted's comment got me to thinking about it more.;)

for me my parents never really gave a yes or no but i still believed up until i'd say 6ish when i stayed up late and caught mom and pops stuffing the last min presents under the tree hahaha ... with my daughter i think i will let her dwell in the santa and frosty and all the great things about being a kid at christmas time and let her find out as she goes... we arent big into religion so if she turns up and wants to take it more serious thats fine with me but i'm not going to weight it down with religion .. just let her have fun while she can

I don't remember when I stopped believing, I think it was around 3rd grade or so. I do remember I started playing the Santa role in 5th grade. I would have to go out to my Moms car and get all of my little bro's gifts out and either put them under the tree or assemble them first. That was the year I got a hot air popcorn popper for Xmas. What can I say. I love popcorn. Evil K was pretty cool then too, but they were a little too much money for my folks.

My parents told me the truth about santa right away. And I'm glad they did. I liked being one of the only kids "in the know."

Besides, living in Oakland, If some fat dude broke into our apartment they'd have gotten dropped.

I remember distinctly... i was seven years old... maybe exactly 10 years ago today. My father remarried in june, and i absolutely hated(and still dislike, hate is a strong word) my step mother. We were decorating the house, and she asked me what i wanted for xmas, i simply stated "santa knows, i told dad to tell him" when she stated with no affection "Joe, santa isnt real".. i was devastated... this woman has no feelings. she is in fact the  !!! so going to bed that night i asked my older bro who was 11, him having *some* feelings told me it was true. I mean at 7, you start to wonder the facts... hell i remember staying up the year before till around 2 a.m. thinking he would come down. when i heard my parents up stairs.

As for when i have children, santa is going to be alive and well. When its time to tell my children, i will do it with as much feelings as i can. By God, my children wont be around my Step Mother any time before xmas..:purple:
