Cruise Control?

87 Cherokee won't up shift

Haven't done a whole lot of research on this as I haven't really thought too much about it. But I am taking a looong trip next month and would love to have cruise control. Does anyone know how hard it is to get a 78 CJ7 hooked up with CC. And if it is possible where would be some good info.

If you check out www.bustedjeep.com, they have instructions on how to make a hand throttle out of some bicycle cables. If you use a gear shifter and not a brake lever, this can double as a cruise control.

if you want a real cruise control, there are aftermarket kits... a motor to connect to the throttle, a sensor on the speedo, and the controls, not much to it.
