Dana 60 front/Transmission questions

Would a D44 run with 39"s and a 360? I might get one for $200 complete with 4.10 gears

i am running a ford dana 44 for a front end now with my 39's for about a year now...no problems yet...all tho it isnt locked and i only have a stock 258 turning it..lol

Stuff it with the best shafts and joints you can get, and keep it UNLOCKED. The truetrac is supposed to be good for this situation. It will live just fine 95% of the time. If you HAVE to have both ends locked, the D44 won't handle it.....when it's being fed by a hopped up V8 and a granny low transmission.

uh... unlocked, ok? but fer $200 it's a good find D60's are VERY expen$ive, oh yeah my $.99 rear end has gone up to $17, I might not get it, he's asking a little much :lol: :lol: :lol:
