Dif breather question

they work by letting out the heat that is created by driving around in your ride.plus they also remove pressure, which would blow out the seals, which is bad

,by "venting" the heat out.At least thats my theory

Another good trick is after you´ve run the lines higher than your expected high water mark, form the ends in an upside down J or a question mark (which will make an air block if you´ve miscalculatted) and cover the ends in a course foam rubber (enough to let air in and out but slow down the water). A few drops or teaspoons of water in the axles will evaporate off. Also works with transfers and transmission´s. The little cap on the factory axle breather caps (without extensions) can be popped off. [addsig]

This seems like a fairly easy mod i want to make. Where does the line end when you run it and what direction do i not want to run it? Also, what is the best tubing to use. (size, material) thanks for the walk through[addsig]

You can join the fuel line to your existing breathers with hose couplers and hose clamps. I ran the breathers into my air box. My air intake is also snorkeled with an ARB snorkel so I know I won't be getting any water in there. Even if you don't have an intake snorkel, I've been told that the airbox is the best place to run the diff breathers because if you think about it, if you get water into your airbox, you're screwed anyway. The only thing I can't do is a transmission breather because it's internal on my 93 YJ but if anyone has any solutions to this, please let me know.[addsig]
