Digital cameras???

My Canon PowerShot has gone on a few week long trips with taking pictures every day using the screen instead of the viewfinder and never had to replace the battery pack. I LOVE this camera. They talked me into buying the extra battery but I've never used it. I've taken 100 pics on one charge with more juice left.

Definately get one with a battery pack and not the AA type.

I use digital cameras (yes plural) for my research. I've used many, many varieties from the early ones to the latest digital SLR's that run ~$2K. I strongly recommend the Olympus C-740 (or 750) with the 10X zoom. I picked one up for my personal use about 6 months ago. Great pics, easy to use and if you use CRV3 batteries (it comes with a pair) you don't need loads of batts. These will last 3-4 months with regular use. They're $15-20/pair to replace. Best buy for your money. I picked mine up at Best Buy, they had a no interest for 18 months deal that I just couldn't pass up!

Cheers,
Geoff
