After this RE 4" lift job is all said and done, am i going to neeed to drop another $2 - 300 on a CV and/or or sye?

Anyone know?
Im already planning on tires and wheels so I need to know the odds of running into this problem of driveline vibration...

And then there is the potential thinks that may break when im taking it apart... Its seems to go on and on..$$$ Im trying to stay with the 600 kit, but if i start snapping brake lines, etc, might as well spend the xtra 250, but really dont want to.

Funny this all started when i was quoted $350 at MIDAS for new shocks and alignment, I left thinking 350 bucks for no lift? No way!

Check out my new CarDomain Site!

You can get by with a 1" transfer case drop, many 4" kits come with it. It can be bought seperately if it doesn't. You'll need either the TC drop or a SYE to avoid vibes.

You can relocate the front brake hardlines further down on the side of the frame. You'll need a longer rear brake line but they're about $35 for braided stainless steel.

RE: New Member At Jeepz :)

That 4" RE kit comes with all that and shims too. You should be fine without a SYE on that kit if you use everything that comes with it!

Re: RE: Cool thread

if you do wind up w/some rear shaft vibration you can get more angled shims (had to on my old 91 w/the pro-comp lift) and also helps to r/r your U-joints at the same time - dont shim the front axle even if it gives off some vibes... just my $.02
