I was just wondering if anyone knows that new length of a CV drive shaft after installing a SYE Kit with a Rubicon Express 4.5" lift.

I want to buy the SYE Kit with drive shaft from www.4xshaft.com by the end of the year because they have it on sale but I wont have the 4.5" lift on for a while yet (wont have the money until I sell my quad). So I cant really go out and measure my own vehicle. I was wondering if anyone else out there has already bought a new driveshaft for a 4.5" lift with a SYE kit installed.

i think he needs the measurements for the driveshaft from someone who already has a 4.5 rubicon lift and and a SYE installed. he wants to buy the driveshaft and SYE at the same time.

Yep exactly. Right now 4xshaft.com has the SYE and Driveshaft that I want onsale until the end of December. I definatly wont have the cash or time to get the 4.5" lift on before then so I want to order it now to get the sale price then when i can install the 4.5" lift and SYE at the same time.

I'm running the RE4.5 kit, mine turned out to be 18 1/4, I had the same problem your facing, found the SYE and shaft on sale before my lift was on, Tom Woods had it on sale, I called him up and spoke with him and he suggested i pay for the kit now (the sale price) he would send the SYE and then I would call back with my measurements after kit and the lift, and then he would send out the drive shaft. He said with that amount of lift their usually around 18" give or take. Just to give you a heads up, I used the shims that came with the kit and was still having bad vibrations, the shims were too small, I had to go with larger shims, if I remember correctly I wound up with 10 degree shims, now everything is fine

Thanks for the great info. I just ended up talking to Tom Woods on the internet yesterday via email and he suggested the same thing. I think I'll be placing my order next week before the end of the year to get his great sale price.
