Damn, what a project. I replaced a destroyed engine (2.5L) in my 89 wrangler with a 94 engine. Lots of snakes there, MPI, serpintine belts and the like (water pump change back to '89, MPI back to throttle body, flywheel back to 89, fan turned the wrong way...you all know) Anyway its all back together and a two day project turned into a two month task, I had to retro-fit all of the 89 stuff onto the 94 engine which I ended up rebuilding anyway...nuff of that. I labeled all of the vacume hose lines, managed to break a few as well and now am lost or a schematic showing the 89 2.5 manual transmission vacume hose routings. I have pleanty of schematics, unfortunately they all seem to be for another model. Grease and time ruined my pristine labeling, next time I will take digital photo's....Any Ideas?

Thanks in Advance.

That really isn't an option. Computer, wiring harness are just the beginning, not to mention the fuel pump. I have sent this back to an 89, changing the flywheel, water pump, fan, manifolds and all the other assorted junk...now I need the hose routing for the spaghetti that is left behind.

Thanks

Sorry, but it's your best option.

Since it's not an option for you though, try a FSM, I know someone around here has one. Sorry I can't be of anymore help.

Also, have you thought about looking around for another 89 and writing down the diagram? I'm sure if you just pulled up into someones driveway and asked they'd let you, we're like that...

Thanks for the input!! I have thought about everything you said. I took the new engine and bored it to .060 (the limit, I think for cooling) did the bottom end and the head. Runs like a Swiss Watch, provided I have tape over all of those damn hoses....

Live and Learn, anyone got an 89 handy, I have not seen any near by.

Arizona, actually Yuma Arizona. Perhaps someone knows the color codes for the hard plastic vacuum lines...the blue, the red and the yellow. They also serve the command trac.

Thanks

could try a weber conversion kit maybe. eliminates computer and gobs of vacume lines. not too sure about that year. mines a 86
