Fan shroud

Does anyone know where I can pick up a fan shroud for a 4 core radiator which is cooling a V8 401? I've been to quite a few junkyards and nothing. Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks

Yeah I saw that one too. I was just wondering if there was a better way of going about it rather than hoping some dude will send me what I paid him for.

Do you know of any car models that'd have a big enough shroud that might work? There were a bunch of listings for shrouds for cars, and they were pretty cheap. [addsig]

is there any danger with running no shroud? or a broken one? cause the top part of mine broke off in a freak burnout incident. [addsig]

I'm running no shroud right now. The only danger I think I've found is that it overheats like a sunuvagun if you aren't moving. Aside from cooling, I don't know of any other problems you might have. [addsig]

the fan shroud is a major part of the motor. the shroud is a must. At least that is what I have been told many many times.[addsig]

you're saying that overheating is just a 'minor' problem!? :) lol[addsig]

Get a shroud. It funnels airflow to the fan and prevents the blades from picking-up 'stray' air from the sides of the engine bay - forcing the air to go through the radiator.

A shroud would make a substantial difference.

Install an electric fan. (It's like I get a comission on these fans)

Didn't we talk about this. . . ?
