Fenders and Hood

I've got a '94 XJ Sport 2D. I looking to replace the hood and fenders, possibly the entire front end. The problem is do I have to get the same year. I think the style changed in '96. Is the fender and hood bolt pattern the same for the '99 model. Can I replace the older parts with newer model. [addsig]

97 is when they went to a rounder design.if you want to add that look,it should bolt in but you will need to get the entire front clip(hood,fenders,grill etc)your best bet is to find a friend with a '97 or newer,park the two of them together and see if they match up(bolt patterns etc)

And I believe anything from '84 to '96 will fit your '94

the hoods from 84-2001 are all the same. to swap to the 97+ front end you'll need:

fenders, bumper, flares, and the header panel (grille, headlight buckets, signals, and the part that says JEEP). the header panel is 3 parts: the frame, the grille, and the headlight buckets/signals. a few people over at JeepsUnlimted.com have done the swap and can help ya out. if you are still planning on doing this maybe you should go with fiberglass. Check this out...Carr fenders



They have fenders for all years, not just the 97+ like you see.[addsig]
