Fj cruiser

Believe it or not the Toyota FJ replaced Jeep for military use around the world because it can and will out-perform jeep in every fashion in a stock vs stock configuration. I would own an FJ becuase they ARE different...AND NOT a Hummer....

They use them alot in Australia. Toyota still has production of them for australia. Hard to get one though. Ive been trying.
The land cruiser was the first veh to make it to stage two of my fuji. I love my jeep but. I love love my landcruiser. Not fond of the newer fj cruiser. Ifs. And a ton of blind spots.

My bj 42. 1981 diesel.

2010 ram 2500 cummins is my daily driver and work truck. I have a 1984 chev I drag race run 13.2. I have a 69 chev half ton almost done a frame off rodstoration with a solid roller 496 that was dyno at 796 hp. I got a 72 chev I did a frame off on that's in storage as I found out it was a one of 5 trucks. And that's about it.

Meh. It makes cruise nights fun. The gf will take one I will take one. Go to the track. Make a night of it. Or take the 4x4s out into the bush for a weekend.

Speaking of "fleets",Jester32, love to see pics of the 69 & 72 Chevys...
We have a 71, a 66, and a 55.... that are registered.... And a 82-ish that is a "monster" just for fun..... and a c/c dually in progress...
Our house is all about trucks... Actually Chevy trucks;-).... I'm the only Jeeper....

As for the original question :
I was hoping the modern FJ was going to look more like it's namesake.... No such luck....
I, too, loved my landcruisers... they were a 91 & a 92.... Actually I bought the 92 because it was the closest thing to a "family friendly" jeep that there was in 92
;-)

I hear ya... We have all been at that stage at least once or twice in our lives ....
Almost all of our vehicles started as "projects" and were done on the cheaps
& over long periods of time ..... Eventually we have managed to finish a few....
(especially now that our Kids are all teenagers..19/15/13)

I've got a '70 Chevy shortbed truck that's been in the family since new. Tell me about the rare one you have. I've owned several 60-72 Chevy trucks, always loved the styling.

I will see if I can find a pic of my 72. I have a few of my 69 before it went in for paint. It's at body shop right now just for fun I threw one of my 83 that I race.
