Will it hurt anythang if I remove the front drive shaft in my 96 grand Cherokee for better mpg its gotta 4.0 auto trans and full time 4x4 transfer case
Shouldn't hurt anything to remove it. But i doupt that it will help your mpg. The frond axles and gears are still turning. I took the driveshaft out of a 93 GC that i had and didn't see any diference
The full time tcase (NV249) in the Grand Cherokee will explode it's viscous coupler if you remove the front driveshaft. If you convert to a NV231 or NV242 you can put it in 2wd to save gas.
