The Mopar Multi-Port Fuel Injection kit is by far the best kit available! It will out perform any "throttle body "style system hands down. The kit is modeled on the 94' wrangler 4.2L fuel injection system.
Here in CA. smog laws are rediculous, but we live with them. When I installed my it, I had to (wanted to anyway) get a borla exhaust header because stock exhaust manifold would not work with the new ntake maniold. I was able to get the jeep to pass both the emissions and visual checks.
Is the kit "cost effective"? Considering I paid $1700 for a "throttle body style" system a few yrs back, and my mopar kit was $1695 (plus a few other items required not supplied by the kit) YES it was cost effective!

Good luck [addsig]

If it's your daily driver, I would strongly advise against doing this conversion. The wiring is a nightmare unless you buy a new wiring harness as well. I did this conversion from an 89 cherokee 4.0L into my '87 YJ 2.5L It took me almost three months to do the swap. It was very time consuming.[addsig]

I can't say enough about how excellent, efficient, reliable, and power-producing fuel injection is. As an old Holley man, i always wanted injection on my motors, but couldn't afford (time/$) to do it.

I agree with flyboy. If you're considering going from aspirated intake to injection you will be making some serious modifications and may be better off buying a new rig.

This is, of course, a personal choice, but should be thoroughly researched to determine the actual time, cost and ROI (return on investment). We can 'rebuild' a rig and change every part on the jeep - but it would be cheaper and faster to buy another one.

Go for the injection, when you're done, you won't believe the improvement. But like flyboy commented, it may take months.
