Gas spills out of my Wrangler when fueling

It only happens to me if I put the gas filler all the way into the filler tube.I usually pull it back just a little bit and no problems since.

I HATE THIS! It happens to me if I forget to watch and listen closely. I have to warn anyone putting gas in it too. I thought it might be a jeep thing... ha ha.

I have the same issue with my 2007 JK. Jeep does know about the issue and they say the only fix is to replace the gas tank. You can purchase a new tank for $600.

This happens to me and my gf i have a 06 and she has a 05, they only jeep it did not do it to was my 04 but it was a 4 cyl, any difference in the tube between the years or the engine size i don't know, but it is so annoying! a fix would be much appreciated

My YJ does it every time. I've been able to listen for the fuel and then manually fill it at the end to avoid the spill.
