Gauges?

1989 Yj 258 Auto.my Gauges And Tach Dont Work.put Fuses In And They Blow Cant See Any Bare Wires Can You Help?

Had the same problem in my 93. Pulled apart the dash and found the circuit board for the speedo/tach corroded and the wires on the board melted in half. I figure I got too much water behind the dash from a leaky windshield frame seal and leaving the top down in the rain.

Like Craig said it is probably your circuit board has gone bad, had the same problem on my YJ. I just hardwired in a couple new gauges and it works just fine. I wouldn't try to find a new circuit board because I had no luck, good luck.

had the same problem too. just buy and hardwire in new gauges. the old ones arent that great with the water i try to use onlt mechanical ones so the water dont bother them
