my 95 Cherokee with 111,000+ miles and 4.0 gives 18+ regualrly.I have an series 40 flowmaster and an K& N airfilter + installed cruise as my spinal injuries wont allow me to hold a steady foot on the throttle. I have been real sickly this year and only put a little over 3000 miles on her...course,my new Ram Hemi may have made her a #2 most of the time.What a truck,super ride,great power,handling and comforts and still 17.5+ MPG.I will....oops fergot,this is a jeep thing...huntin season is coming and the Cherokee will soon be #1 again !LOL

I have an '04 Ram with the Hemi.It's easy to get spoiled by it.Mine gets around 11-12 MPG,but it's full time 4WD and running 35s.

What gear in your Ram ? If anything less than 4.56's,its gonna tax the load on your drivetrain too.I have a friend with an 05 2500 with 37's and 4.88's and he says,wished I had went to 5.12's ! I am changing my stock SS muffler out and putting an 50 HD Flowmaster on...so if you are interested in the super freeflowing 09 one,I will make ya super deal.The list price is just under $300 for a new one. Have you tried an K& N airfilter ? Mine went from 15.5 to 16.5 --17 + with just that change.
