I was just offered a pair of Dana 60 and HD Dana 44 axle with 4.10 gears for a "good" price :shades:. The only downside is that it's on a 72 Ford chassis, so it has a driver side drop.
In order for me to use the front, I would use an NP205 ONLY if I could find a precious SM transmission so my low range would still be useful. If I did that, I would have to fab a t-case/transmission mount and get some driveshafts made for around 300-400 dollars around here.
Or I could buy them, sell the front and hope for a passenger side Dana 44, spring over, reuse my Dana 300, and again, buy driveshafts.
What do you guys think?
