Grill question????

Does anybody know why the jeep grill has 7 black holes ( •|||||||• ) and i have a Cherokee 95 and It has 8 holes ( 0||||||||0) ????? Why????

They are known for the 7 slot grill but also came with 10 and 8 like yours and a few others as well. My 97 XJ has 7 like CJs and Wranglers. Sorry I have no answer as to why.

no idea. The 93 to 95 grand cherokees had 8 and the 96 to 98 had 7

I'm with superj. Of all the eye catching details in the jeep line, I never noticed the number of slots in the grill. How interesting that you ponder this.

I never noticed until I replaced my header panel. The one on there was from a 93-95 grand cherokee, and it being a 97 I replaced it with one for 96-98. Once I got the new one one I didn't realize my old grill didn't fit. If you notice also the later model grills go below the line of the headlights into the bumper cover whereas the earlier model is in line with the headlights.
