grille guard questions

I am thinking about purchasing a westin or similiar brand grille guard for my 2001 XJ. However, I wanted to know if its easy and possible to mount this with my current tow hook brackets.
I'd really appreciate some feedback on this and possibly some cheap under 300 bux for a whole new front bumper (THICK)....

How about fabbing one up of your own. I plan on doing this when I get to that point with my XJ, I am going to fab one up and have a winch plate, and push bar, and a 2 inch reciever tube in the middle.

RE: Leak coming in from dashboard

Why not just get one with a 2" receiver? That would be a good tow point if the bumper is solidly mounted

Re: H-4 headlights

Try Smittybuilt, I bought a front grill guard for my 90 there and it bolted up nice. The whole thing was under $100.

You and look at it on my jeep page link in my sig below

I like that bullbar. I dont mind getting one, however - the real question is the compatibility with my current tow hook brackets. Will it work?

RE: Low on gas

well if you're talking about the one that TC posted, then you wont need your front tow hook brackets anymore, you'll have those snazzy d-rings.

Well yeah. I would like something cheap, like bullbars (cheap steel kind). However, its just my brackets that worry me.
