Heater control problems.

I need a little guidance/insight on a problem I'm having with the heat controls on my '97 TJ. When I try to get the defrost to work I can hear a flap slam shut and I get nothing from the vent. I have pulled apart a large part of the dash and know which of the controls is the problem. Here's my question: Can that flap be replaced? Do I have to pull the whole heater box to do it?

If it is like the one in bad in my 97 TJ.. It could be different I had an early 97 which had a lot YJ parts on it. Mine had the slide bar for heat tempature which the top motor/flap is replacable considering mine would fall out of the vent from time to time when I was off road.
