Hi, I have a transmission and T-case that I took out of an old Jeep. Worked great in the Jeep but I sold the motor. I now need help identifying it to sell it. They are still together and I kept the drive shaft and bell housing. It was a 4 speed and was behind a 304. Here are the numbers I can see on it. T-Case had three numbers in different locations....

Transmission: C-2604208
T-Case: 0300-15-2
0300-19-19
3223

Thanks

Hi Sully, that I do not know. The trans came out of a 1979 CJ7 pieced together Jeep so I really do not know if the transmission and engine were original. In fact I doubt it. So all I have is the numbers to go on.

Thanks

The best thing to do it look in a Chilton or Haynes replair manual. they both have pitctures with decriptions of all the stock transmission's. It would be the easier way that I can think of. Unless don't already have one of those.

it is a t-18 transmission and d20 t-case
That was my first guess as well. The 304 came from the factory with either a 3 speed T-150 and a Dana 20 or in some cases a 4 speed T-18 and Dana 20.
However, after seeing the numbers of the case, I deducted that it is a Dana 300 transfer case. This more than likely means that the transmission is a T-176.
Does the mounting surface between the transmission and t-case look more like the shape of Texas or a circular 6- bolt pattern. Texas= Dana 20. 6-bolt circle = Dana 300.
99.9% sure on the transfer case. The Dana 300 has some numbers on the back cast right in the center that had 0300 in the first block of numbers.
This combination with the bellhousing is worth $250 - $300 if it is in fair condition.
