hi-volume oil pump?

I have a 1984 CJ7 W/258. The oil pressure is very low.I just changed the gauge to a mechanical one, and it shows no signs of the rings going out. Am going to drop the oil pan and put in a new oil pump but I don't know if I should use a hi-volume pump or a standard pump. please help[addsig]

High Volume is a good way to go. You might also want to check and replace your main bearings. [addsig]

Thanks for the info. Playing it safe I just went ahead and put a rebuilt motor in. Should have it on the road in a couple more days. [addsig]
