How do I identify my transmission and transfer case

Where do i look on my 82 CJ-8 to identify what type of transmition(4spd) and transfer case i have.

If your transmission has a stick that is curved then its a t-4... if its a straight stick then you've got a t-176. Your transfer case should be a dana 300.
