intake manifold

I have a 78 cj7 with the 4.2L. Im trying to find an after market intake manifold I have looked at numerous sites and have found only the offenhauser intake for a 4 barrel carb. Does any one know where i can find one. I am eliminating emissions since my state does not require it.

Do you have a stock exhaust manifold? If you do I'd look for a stock intake at the junk yards or on Ebay. That way your exhaust "crossover" will still heat the carburetor base. An unheated carb will not be much fun on cool damp days. You can find a one barrel manifold on many AMC sixes from the late 60's and up. I had one from a late 60's Rambler , if I recall, on my 78 CJ7. I put the Rambler carb and distributor on it too. In later years there were two barrel manifolds used as well. I have a 79 CJ5 motor with the two barrel setup on it - runs great. Best of luck - John
