Which web browser do you use?

Firefox seems to be gaining ground quickly with new features and enhanced browsing security.

Firefox - pretty much full time now. The little tabs rule

by the way...I mentioned the BB Code "Right Click" option before, and many didn't have it.

I thought it was just part of the Firefox software...but evidentally I downloaded it somehow.

It's an Extension that can be downloaded from the Mozilla website.

Here: https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=128&application=firefox

It's very useful... just highlight an item, RIGHT CLICK, and then select bbcode, you can add Image tags, URL tags, etc. Pretty much every thing on the editor when you reply...

You need a poll reply for both browsers. I use them both.

I would use Firefox exclusivly but it doesn't work with MSN GROUPS where a pop up box opens up for you to post in on the discussion threads. I haven't found an extension that will make this work and I use MSN alot.

Otherwise, I love Firefox for the extentions. I have a zillion that do all sorts of things. It totally rocks.:D

Picky, picky:razz:

Your right, I did not think of people using both. The last time I remember trying to keep two browsers on, they kept fighting each other for dominace on my machine, so I trashed one.

I use neither. Been using Netscape for years now. They also have tabbed browsing, and it's simpler to use for me (I don't need a lot of crap on my browser). I started with IE, but after multiple crashes and the fact that it wouldn't load many of the pages I wanted to see, I trashed it.

I hate IE. Always something wrong with it, always needs an update and supports nada. Netscape doesn't impress me either, too much junk.
I use Opera and Mozilla. I like Opera for the few extras, like the bookmark tabs and transfer window. Mozilla is good because it's simple and efficient. Windows has taken over enough, anyway.

I use the Netscape browser. It has tabs too and works very similar to Firefox. I like the fact that I can set it up to display individual websites like Firefox or IE. I have it display like Firefox all the time except for a few sites which like IE better. Not many updates or add-ons though.

Would those be VW crashes??

IE here but soon to change. Heck, I'm still running '98 (also soon to change). Just installed an 80 gig hard drive and somehow my registry got corrupted.......what a nightmare! Also installed a DVD reader (came with no drivers) which makes for a really fast CD reader, but '98 doesn't recognize the DVD portion (on it's own at least). ALSO recently purchased a Fostex 8-track digital recorder, which '98 doesn't recognize !  Anxiously awaiting the arrival of my XP Pro upgrade!!!:purple: Will be trying Firefox shortly..........IE definitely sucks!!

Just finished installing FF about ten minutes ago. This thing is sweet. The tabs function is awesome. Thanks for bring up the subject.

Hey mingez, which bb function did you get? There are 3 or 4 I found.

Hmmm... not exactly sure. It was so long ago when I downloaded them.

netscape and firefox are not much unlike each other

I don't use IE unless I absolutely have to. I've been using Firefox for a long time now and love it.

IE is used when some crazy Java scripts don't work on firefox.

My fantasy football site's scoreboard has a hardtime displaying and refreshing automatically on firefox...

dunno why.:-|

I have to use both since alot of the sites I visit have active java scripts that Fox cant handle just yet.
But when the day comes IE is History!

Firefox all the time. IE is junk.

I used to use Opera, but ditched it for Firefox a year or so ago when it was talked about here on Jeepz. The BBCode sure makes posting easier when you want to add pics and such.

One problem, I can't get the BBCode to work with the new Jeepz site? Any idea on that one anybody???

You guys should try Netscape browser if you are switching back and forth between IE and Firefox. Just set it up to run like Firefox until you get to one of those sites that FF doesn't display correctly, then change the settings for that site only so it displays like IE. I only have to use Netscape and I have no display problems.
