Sounds like a nice ride, stock in my area it would be about $3500.00 to $4000.00 with all the money you poured into it you should be able to get about in my area $3500.00 to $4000.00 you can never recover the cost of your upgrades. I may be wrong but that is what I find here in East Tennessee. I gave 3000.00 for a stock 87 YJ Good Luck tug[addsig]

Personally I think you should seel the 88 and do a motor conversion in the 91. but if you want to sell it I'd say tug is about right.

not to be a pessimist but i think they are a little high. with all

the extra's it would probably go for $2000. A lot of people

will see the 160k on a four cyl. and freak out.[addsig]

I am with AFholmz, unless the body is mint I would go $2000 max[addsig]

The market varies widely. You may be able to get 3 grand for a private sale, look for about half that if you're using it as a trade-in. I've found that sentimental value can not be added.

I had a POS '88 Ford Ranger 2WD 2.0L 5-speed that was worth $600 according to Kelley's BB. So I sold the parts, wheels & tires, stereo, speakers, grill, bumpers ....... well, you get the idea. Then sold the rest to a scrap yard. In the end, it brought $2200.

It paid for my tube bumpers, new tires, nerf bars, used hard top and a few other Jeep things

thanks guys yall are right there is alot of sentamental value here, and as for doing the motor swap i was thinking about it but then i will have the same problems in a red body instead of a black one, I paid 2000 for when i got it, and it was a weenie stock, steel wheels and what use to be a soft top, also for the motor swap, i would have to change everything except the front axle, the bodys are about the same and both a have new tops, so i dont know, i am going to wait untill spring since the value goes up when it gets warmer and plus by then i will have the bugs hopefully worked out of my 88 the only reson i like it is the 4.2 but other than that my 91 is a better rig. thanks guys
