Just dies

Changed carb, full pump, plugs! And still will run for a while then just like to turn the key off it dies and has hell starting back. I don't no what to do now but maybe start looking for a electrical problem I no its not running out of gas cause it has plenty in the carb when it dies. Any ideas?

Knowing year, model and engine would help. If its an older model then the points could be closed up too much or maybe the coil is getting hot and shutting down. When it shuts down, Check to make sure wether its getting spark or not. If its new enough to have an ignition module, It may be that. I've also had problems with the top bearing in the distributor being worn and after it warms up, it shuts down. Take the distributor cap off and wiggle the top of the shaft. If there's any play at all, it needs to be replaced. Just a few places to start with.

It's a 87 4.2 I'm gonna try the coil and cap next maybe that's what it is thanks
