Newbie is getting close to pulling the trigger on new 33s for my favorite new toy 89 yj . Ever since the high School days a long time ago lol i have loved the COOL look of these tires!!! Any reason to go with another brand instead? I only drive it once or twice a week, and dont do anything crazy off road. Just want long lasting quality tires that for a lack of a better term, Look the coolest

I've never heard anything bad about them.

Great! Was hoping to hear some good reviews from you pros! I just don't want to make a bad mistake for a grand

they are pretty good tires. I had a buddy who ran them on his '11 wrangler and didn't have anything negative to say.

I am not overly impressed with their performance off road, at least up here in the north east with the terrain we have. they tend to pack with dirt and do not clean out as well as I'd like. Also not sure what it is about the side wall or bead design, but they tend to burp a lot of air on a non-bead lock rim with pressure under 12ish psi.

As for the street, they are a more manajable tire that I would equate with a BFG MT or GY MTR.

If you like them, buy them.
Just a FYI, the tread life will not be nearly as good as the baja ATZ

Johnny, can you expound on the tread live of these two tires please? I will be towing my Jeep with the MTZ behind my MOHO. I just ordered them today. Should I switch my order to the ATZ??

Okay thanks for all the info guys. If I remember right the a t z did not come in 33s but ill check again

I ran them for a couple of years on my XJ and had good luck with them. I ran single digits without beadlocks a few times on 35s and never lost a bead. They take a little more throttle to clean than a TSL but still not bad. All around good tire in my opinion.

Okay the a t z is available in 33s my bad. But its an all terain and I dont think they look near as good as the off road ones. So do all terain tire tread last longer than off road tires? And of so how many miles longer? Like i said I'm New sorry. Thanks for all advice!!!

Mileage will vary but an all terrain is closer to a street tire and will outlast pretty much any mud tire. Mud tires tend to be softer and the tread blocks spaced farther apart so they wear faster.

That makes sence to me. Thank you...

mileage really doesn't matter if you're only using them once or twice a week. I've had pro comp mud terrains on my cj-7 for almost a year now and probably have another 3 or 4 years on em at the rate I use em. go with the tire you feel most comfortable with that will fit your need

Okay thanks everyone ill be going with the mtz

I ordered 5 MTZ's on monday and recieved them today. Five 33/12.50X15 tires delivered to my house for $1039, I think I did well.Install and balance another $50 and I'm ready to go.

From my short experiance Quatratec is the most expencive. I ordered mine from TireBuyer.com. Go to couponcodes.com and I got $106 dollers off (12days) was the code. Free shipping and depending where there shipped from you might have to pay tax. I had to pay it but it was still the best buy.

If you look around you can find blems. The last ones I had the white letter was scratched on them, I don't run white letters out anyway, and I paid 650 for 4 35s.

Marc, For the future, where do you go to "Blems" ???
