It would not be easy at all. You would need to weld/bolt in new motor mounts, install a new wiring harness, install a new, stronger transmission, adapt your t-case or replace it with another one, have new driveshafts made, replace at least the rear axle if not both with something stronger, worry about emissions if they apply in your area, and the list goes on. It'll total alot more than a few thousand, and anything from advance adapters will cost an arm and a leg. Not that swaping in a V8 is a bad idea, it just is really a big project that often goes along with a complete buildup.

Thanks....I think.....lol....the question was for my brother-in-law who is trying to decide between 2 jeeps he wants to buy, ones an 80' CJ the other is the 91YJ .....I think He'll go for the CJ .
