I have a 2003 TJ 2.5 L 135,000 km. Just recently started performing some simple maintenance on it (like changing the spark plugs for the first time)

Today I broke the CCV plastic cap/rubber fitting... Is it ok to drive the Jeep without this ?

And I'm Charles 38 from Bellefeuille Québec. Learned to drive on my mother's CJ7 20 years ago. Had my TJ for 4 years.

think you mean PCV , any auto part store has them in stock , I"d replace it right away other wise you will have oil splatter all in engine compartment

Not on a 4.0 they are ccv

tonight I had no choice to drive to work and back (40km)
so far there's no mess under the hood... I think I'll make it! :D

It's a CCV (Closed Crankcase Ventilation) on both the 2.5 and 4.0 engines from '91+.

That particular fitting should be sucking filtered air from the airbox into the crankcase, so if the CCV is functioning properly your only concern is getting unfiltered air into the crankcase.
