NEED HELP!!! My back tire is angled WTF??!?

So like 5 min ago i was off road trying to clime this hill(made it up) then i was driving like 10 feet back t my house and noticed that my back driver side tire id forward too much and the front of the tire is angled in. please be easy to fix!!! So no idea what is going on can you guys help me out! :???::???:

on your rear axle housing?!?! Take a look at where axle and the housing meet, if the axle is still attached to the wheel and it looks like your axle just moved out of the housing you might have broken a c clip. (not sure what rear axle you have)

Looks like you may have broken the centering pin on the leaf spring pack and the axle shifted forward on the leaf springs.

It's the bolt that holds the leaf pack together in the very middle of the leaf pack. You can see the nut if you look up from the bottom through a hole in the spring plate. The top of the centering pin (bolt) is in the center of the spring perch and helps keep the axle from shifting on the leaf springs.

No they are just fine... but I think the hole thing is just angled. I looked and I think I just need to pull it back on the leaf spring. That side is forword about an inch compared to the other.

The centering pin may still be intact on top, but very well could have sheared off on the bottom. This has happened to me before. That centering pin is the only thing besides the u bolts that hold the axle onto the leaf, and they ought to be intact. I'll bet my Dana 60 in the shop at home that it's the center pin.

The axle really can't shift on the spring without breaking the centering pin.

The pin that goes in the bottom of the leif string that is in between the U bolts is closer to the front U bolt on the right. On the left it is centered. Maybe I should give it another look but the centering pin on the top looked fine. I will take a closer look...

I'll bet my Dana 60 in the shop at home that it's the center pin.

why do you have to go and get my interest all perked up?


I shear center pin like it is my job. Cheap and easy fix. all you need to do is hit the spring plate on a rock hard enought and it will shear the bottom off. you could replace it with a Grade 8 bolt, but it is pointless since I believe the shear strength is the same if not less in a Grade 8 vs Grade 5.

so i looked at the center pin and it had moved(tilted) but was not broken. So i just need to move it back a bit. It might be broken not sure yet but it looks fine.

If its tilted it is bent and needs replaced. It is more likely do it again if not corrected.
