need oem soft top assembly instructions

I've purchased a used factory soft top for my 97 tj. Now all i need is some instruction for putting it on. I'm gong to pick it up this week- i'd like to assemble it right there to make sure all the parts are . Can anyone show me where i can download a manual - or can someone email or fax me a copy???[addsig]

I ran into the same problem, I did a search on www.google.com for the install instructions and I just printed it all out. Mine is a Bestop and I found it pretty easy... good luck.[addsig]

that will explain in detail. And some
tricks that will ease your installation.

Do you already have the "Hardware"
Did you have a soft top before?
A Hard top? No Top?

The total 'soft top' will consist
of not only the 'canvas' but a
frame that will provide it attatchment
and support.

I'm assuming the soft top will have the hardward included.
I currently have a kayline soft top- i'm buying hte factory because i've been told it is much easier to deal with - and not as many loose parts to lose!

The bestop installation instructions are easy to find, but i can't find the assmbly instructions for a factory top anywhere...[addsig]

kayline soft top: Uses snaps right?

Factory uses 'belt rail' system,
Channel attached to outer upper
lip over both back panels and
the 2 short panels either side
of the tail gate.

You will also have a bar that
crosses the tailgate holding your
Window down.

and will have 2 L shaped bows
that attach on either side of your
main Roll Hoop facing/falling down
to the rear.

I followed the Bestop instructions
and found they matched my
factory 99 TJ soft top. I had
to teach myself. hope this helps
