New Clutch

RE: Which axle is the best?

Alright, I've been looking around for a new clutch and the two companies I've come up with are Dial-a-Clutch and Centerforce. Dial-a-Clutch doesn't offer a gold kit for my Jeep, so will a O.E. clutch do? I'm running a MC-2150 and will soon add headers and exhaust to my 258. May go TBI in the future. Will another O.E. clutch handle this power, or do I need to get a centerforce?

RE: Which axle is the best?

www.dialaclutch.com or www.carolinaclutch.com is what I use. I recommend OEM Luk brand clutches, the Gold and Centerforce clutches is paying for a lot of extra holding power you don't need. Relatively stock jeep engines like you describe don't need the performance clutch, spend the money elsewhere.

Call those places if you don't find what you need on the web, they'll usually be able to take care of you.

RE: Did I do something wrong?

I agree with bounty. If your jeep is making enough power to need a centerforce, you're likely going to be looking for a rear end soon as well

I agree with more power needing a stronger clutch but large tires can be just as hard on it especially if your on it a lot like when rock crawling.
