i have a 258 cubic engine 90 yj with 145,000 miles on it . Is their an easy way to bost the oil pressure? reads about 25 psi 30 weight motor oil when hot.[addsig]

25 psi at idle when hot? You're fine. The only cheap way of boosting the oil pressure is by using a heavier weight motor oil. Better than that would be to install new main bearings, seals and a new high volume oil pump. Even better than that is to have the engine rebuilt. 145K is a good time for that. HTH[addsig]

The benefit is that the oil can actually make it up to the top end of your engine and lubricate the cam, lifters, rockers, valve springs, etc. Low oil pressure is the beginning of major problems and should be fixed ASAP.[addsig]
