replaced the oil sending unit 2 yrs ago , oil pressure gage reading low, check engine light on , full on dipstick, ideas please,

Oil pump probably going out or the screen in the pick up tube of the oil pump could be clogged. pretty easy to do, drop the oil pan and it is right there on the bottom of the motor.

i was told that to drop the oilpan , the trans, must be moved, ??
