In my 92yj boy that was fast mec said maybe valves or rings. With 145,000 miles on it. Ok my friends has a junk yard so I can a motor at a good price wondering witch motor I can go with 04. Would all line up good

Maybe it's just the valves seals I hope still not smoking I mean he reved it hard and it real cold out so I think there is still hope but I don't want to throw $300 away I just got the yj dec 26. So I will fix her and lift her but one thing at a time thank you

The only oil usage is out the rear of the valve cover, which is typical from what I've heard. If you want it I'm getting rid of everything carb to oil pan.
