pavement ends flip top

Does anyone have any experience with a pavement ends flip top. I remember seeing someone have a post about one a while back, don't remember if it was good or bad. Are these a waste of money? Am I better off saving for a Bestop?

The YJ I just bought came with a Bestop "Sunrider" which is Bestop's version of the flip-top. I like the way it mounts to the windsheild, but I doubt I'll ever use the flip-top feature. It seems like a good idea, but I don't care for it. It's just not something I think most people would use much, I mean how long does it really take to put down or up a soft top once you get the hang of it? not long.

One big benefit to the pavement ends top is the price, but I believe the windows and material are thicker on the bestop tops. Call a 4WD hardware or quadratech and they'll give the specs.

I have the Bestop Sunrider. I use the flip top whenever going on road trips where the back half of my jeep if filled with camping gear ect.

I don't think I would use the flip down much, i was just interested in it because of the price.

i have the PE fliptop... i love it... when it is not raining, the top is flipped... just like having the top off, you don't even notice the back being on, unless you are riding in the back.. and of course the mirrors show that.. but it takes nothing to undo the clips and let it flop back.. and is easy to reach up and close it, for rain.. or when you intend on slashing through some puddles

i have the pavement end flip top..its alright..i kind of wished i would have saved my money and just bought a regular soft top..it is easy to flip it back though...it should be though..as long as it took to put on :lol:

I didnt think it was to bad. I had all the old stuff off and the new hardware on in less than an hour.

Well u cant complain about there customer service. Last week i called them to see if they would send me a new spreader bar because one of mine was collapisng in when i had the flip top open. Then today i recived a whole new top,and my top is atleast 4 mo. old

I guess you'd better tell them you need a spreader bar for the other side now!

I think anybody could get a free top i didnt even have to prove when i bought it, or if i even had one. She just asked me for the part # and the adress and said they would get a new one out to me.
