Professional courtesy?

I collected unemployment about 5 years ago, it was so little money and so much work it makes the whole argument kinda funny. :lol:

I had to apply for like 16 jobs a month and keep a tally that was submitted to the state. To keep up those kinda numbers I had to apply at all sorts of places that had nothing to do with my abilities. Plus I had to go to this "center" and look for jobs in the federal employment database, the amount of paperwork it takes just to apply for one federal job is astronomical. Your application ends up being like a 50-sheet pamphelet that costs $10 bucks to mail.

On the up side it was a real learning experience. On the down side I put on like 25 pounds over the three months from all the beer and cheetos I consumed between putting in applications and playing video-games.

I apologize to you, Heather, and to the others for having to read that. When someone accuses a friend of mine of doing something dishonest, or accuses them of being a liar, I won't stand for it and get pretty testy. TC just pushed my buttons one too many times. It's been a long time coming. He can say what he wants about me, but DON'T diss my friends.

I don't really see what the big deal is Sparky. My thoughts on the matter are inline with TCs, and I don't feel like I have insulted or put down Mingez by having those views. What did he say that was so bad?

I just don't see the point in all of the drama here.

I think the ironic thing here is that I never said I was going to collect unemployment. I think that someone suggested it as a possibility earlier in this thread if they DID end up firing me on the spot upon the announcement of my resignation. If they fire me, that would eliminate my leaving as being "voluntary"

Regardless, I'm not going to attempt to collect unemployment, and I AM giving them my 2 weeks. (Or one and a half)
But if they wrongfully fire me and refuse to pay the 2 weeks, severance...I'll rake them over the coals because they'll deserve it.

I'm guessing that when I give my 2 weeks, they'll ask me to leave early, and still pay me the 2 weeks. Then I've done right by my staff.

Maybe if you have deep-seeded issues with me you should be PM'ing me instead of Junkpile. It would certainly be better than blowing up a thread unnecessarily.

Just to let the rest of the Jeepz folks know, Mingez and I exchanged PM's about this earlier and there was no problem of any sort. He knew it was not my intent to insult him or make any accusations. After all the debate between the two of us on this website about things we are passionate about yet competely disagree on, all without an ugly exchange... I would expect nothing less.

I only PM'd Junkpile because I didn't think what I had to say needed to be said in the public forum, as I have already apologized for my previous outbursts. The PM was in response to his post wondering what the "big deal is". I have nothing to say to you in a PM. If Junkpile chose to share my comments with you that were in a PRIVATE message, that's his choice, not mine. I would hope he has enough professional courtesy not to share them, though. It wouldn't be very becoming of a moderator to share private messages with anyone but other moderators, and I'm sure our moderators know that. Right? That's why I sent them in a PRIVATE message, rather than posting them here, but I guess I might as well have posted them since you can't seem to let this rest. Mingez and I also exchanged PM's on this, but out of respect for him and the reason for PRIVATE messages, I won't divulge the content to anybody else.

Besides, I thought you were done responding to this thread......

As for your last response... whatever your problem is, I was hoping you could PM me instead posting in the forum. That was the reason for my last post, and I believe it would be the preferred way of settling any issue you have as far as the mods and the rest of the members are concerned. If this doesn't suit you fine, but then if you don't want to deal with me directly about it then I don't think it is too much to ask for you to put a stop to this kind of thing.
