Rear axle shims

Hey all, installing a advance adapter SYE in my 95 yj with a tom woods shaft. I understand I need to pitch rear angle to align with t case and need shims. As this is my first time doing this I see shims come in 2,4,6 . . . Degree increments. I assume many of you have done this, so can you tell me which ones or is this a case by case measurement? Thanks for any help

I'd say it's a case by case measurement. It depends on how much lift you have, how much sag you have in your springs, etc. I've never done an SYE on a YJ, so I can't tell you what to look for, but here is the general idea
