removing dash cover

How do I change the 12V power socket on a 2004 Grand Cherokee. I only looked at it for a few minutes and it appears that I need to remove the dash cover that is below the radio and A/C controls. If so how do I remove that cover? Thanks

should just pull off, there might be a screw or two at the bottom. Been a long time since I pulled a WJ dash off.

You might try going to www . wjjeeps . com. This is a really cool and informative web site for 1999-2004 Grand Cherokee owners. It has just about anything you want to know from radio removal to specs. I had to list the web site that way because it would not let me post this reply if i had put it in normally.
