Rivets or Bolts

I just got my black diamond plate rear corners and I was wondering if anybody out there installed them differently? I'm not sure I want to use the rivets and was thinking of maybe using a bolt or Allen Heads. Just something different to change the look a bit. If any of you have done this can I get a pic? Any ideas? Thanks

I don't think I'd use rivets unless I could get some the were guaranteed to never rust.

I vote allen bolts. Can't tighten rivets back up if they work there way out. You'll have to drill them out if there is a problem during installation, that could open the hole a little bigger and make loose rivets or ones that never get fully tight.

unless you just want the look of bolts or rivets i recommend 3M double face tape the white roll it sticks better than the gray or black, however the tape is a little pricey. tape will leave no holes or bare metal meaning no rust issues.

rivets have very little shear strength, get grade 5 or 8 hardware.
