bounty does have a point here.... the lower the gear ratio, the easier it is to spin the wheels.... but it makes it harder for the wheels to spin the drivetrain

I am almost positive the five speed is .7 something could be wrong though

The majority of 4.0L and 4.2L 5speeds have 3.07 gears, but there are some out there that came with 3.55 and 3.73 gears although less common.

I know the '04 and '03 TJ's with auto trans are 4speeds. At least that's what the options say on www.jeep.com
