Seat position in CJ5

I've been toying with the possibility of buying a '78 CJ5 for the past week or so. Renegade, 304 V8, 3 speed manual, soft top. Needs some paint and a bit of work, but I love it. Only problem: 6'2", and the non-adjustable lowback seat makes things a bit cramped. Any way to remedy this? Thanks in advance for any help[addsig]

Welcome to the message boards of Jeepz.com! I have the problem of the tight fit but mine is a thickness problem. My son was looking at a Cj5 and he too is over 6'. I hope the answer will come on this question as well. Welcome to the boards again and hang in here and get your feet wet! Tug[addsig]

Yup, knees on the dash. No tilt wheel or seat adjustment at all either. I'd eventually replace the stock seats with shoulder-harnessed full backs (safety), but even then I'm afraid I'd suffer from a bit of cramping. I'll tolerate it if I have to, but I'd feel a bit more peace of mind if there were an easy solution[addsig]
