the forum seems kind of lonely as of late... any reason? did i miss something? it seems a lot less active this past week than it has in months before... its kind of eerie, like the set of a ghost town from a bad movie in the back lot of the production studio that hasnt seen day light since the movie was shot...
 

Well it was down for awhile and if you just linked to the Bulletin Board part of the site, that link doesn't work anymore. Some may think it's still down.

That said, even before it went down it seemed kinda quiet.
 
I agree with south, If the regulars still have the old link it will not work.
It was down for a while....I kept checking with Mingez's site while it was down and I thought that more would be checking in there also, but it post were few and far between....

I've been on other boards.. like Jeepforum.com and it is way too busy...There are so many threads that if you are waiting a reply on something and go back the next day, you darn near have to do a search just to find the thread you were on that is now 5 pages back!

So I hope Jeepz gets going again......
 

What if we went down the list and sent PM's to people we haven't seen since the board went down last time?
I know if I get a PM, I also get an email letting me know I got it, that might get the word out that the site is back up?

I have missed the site. It has not worked for me because like some of you have said i was linked to a section that would not work. But i'm back with ya. MIssed you guys.
 
I think more people are beginning to find the new board. The number of active users listed at the bottom left keeps getting bigger every day.
 

Technology to the rescue!
I've setup some redirects, so when people try to go to the old site:

they will be sent to the main page of the forum. Hopefully this will help. Also, i think those couple of days downtime hurt our google ratings.
 
I haven't been on in a while because of my work schedule; off Monday and Tuesday, close the other 5 days... Doesn't sounds like much, but when you put it in the perspective of 60 hours a week easily, and a 1 hour round trip drive, it adds up...

Truth be told, I should be at work right now, but I was sent home, have to come back and close tonight... I'm sicker than a dog right now, been fighting it, and it hit hard today, so I would have been completely useless on the line anyway, what with no voice and I can hardly stand... So I'll be there from 9-1:30 to close the place down, the KM's staying and running things till then...

While we're discussing site, Terry, where's the chat? And thanks again for all your hard work in getting the site back up and running...

Yeah, Terry, is there any way we can get a "visible" link to the chat?? Like, "who's on" or a little button to click to join it???
 
I havent been on cause lifes throwin its curves at me again. I hired two guys and trained them all summer for the busy season. One went in the hospital last week and is not coming back to work cause of his health and the other guy was a friend I was helping out and had given him a job while he was on parole. He took an OD last week and died. So I had a little morning to go through and now I have more work than I can Imagine.
 

Wow, and I thought I had it rough...
That is a bad set of circumstances...I hope things get better soon!
