Shock Specs

I'm looking into buying some new Rancho RS5000s so I went to http://www.quadratec.com and realized I have no clue which set I need. Let me try to explain why I am so confused, haha... Next to each shock it has numbers such as (12.88" / 20.25" Eye / Eye) (14.00" / 22.25" Eye / Eye) and I have no clue what the numbers mean. Any info on this subject?

P.S. I have a 1989 Cherokee Laredo.

compressed and extended lengths. Rancho5000's are harsh riding shocks, there are a lot better ones out there.

I suggest a smooth riding hydraulic shock like the Doetsch-Tech 3000. www.rubiconexpress.com and www.jeepinoutfitters.com has them. Jason at JeepinOutfitters usually has free shipping on the DT shocks and other items that RE sells.

I'm going to be doing a 1.5" shackle and spacer lift so I can fit some bigger tires in for muddin'. I can't wait to get the parts.
