Sky-Pod install in YJ

Here are some pics of the completed Sky-Pod installation.

The Sky-Pod mounts in the threaded holes once occupied by the footman strap between the mirrors. I ran the speaker wires in 3/8" plastic flex tubing and tie-wrapped to "stick-on" nylon bases.

The Sky-Pod is made by Select Increments ... http://www.selectincrements.com/ ... but this was purchased at Quadratec ... http://www.quadratec.com/products/14136_600.htm .

Couldn't beat the price after shopping around, at least not by enough to go elsewhere. You can also get the Sky-Pod with speakers already installed but I wanted to go with the Infinity speakers to match those installed in the dash at the same time.

Looks like they cover up your mirror a little bit. Do they adjust or are they stationary?

The Sky-Pod is stationary and the mirror is at its highest adjustment in the photos.

I sit pretty "tall in the saddle" (long body) and it does cover the top 1/4th of the mirror ... but my son, who is 3" shorter than me, has no coverage at all. The side view mirrors are about all I use anyway, so it really wasn't much for me to get used to.
